Senior Planet at Avenidas: Dec. 26-30

Happy Holidays from Senior Planet!

As we begin our winter break, Senior Planet from AARP wishes you all the very best this holiday season and into 2023!

We can't thank everyone enough — not only for a successful fall quarter, but an entire year full of learning and growing together. We hosted a myriad of impactful online classes, reopened our in-person center with full course enrollment, and now look forward to transitioning our space to a licensed partner site!

Just in case you missed the news last week, this coming January, Senior Planet from AARP at Avenidas will begin transitioning the Senior Planet program operated at 450 Bryant Street in downtown Palo Alto into a licensed partner site.

What does that mean for you? Senior Planet classes will continue to be offered at Avenidas, but the way you receive information about upcoming classes will change. In the coming weeks and months, we will share information with you about these changes, but in-person classes will eventually be posted only on Avenidas’ website:

We offer the licensing program to community-based organizations across the country completely free of charge. The program allows these partners to offer Senior Planet classes to local participants, without us being on-site to deliver them. Avenidas staff and volunteers will become licensed trainers to deliver the Senior Planet classes you know and love. We are here to answer any questions that you have about this change, and we thank you for your ongoing support!
Have a happy and healthy holiday season!
