Saying Goodbye to Ted Lasso
|
Succession is ending this year. So is Barry. And so, as Jason Sudeikis confirmed, is Ted Lasso, Apple TV+’s genial, Emmy-winning comedy about soccer and found family. “The idea was to do three years, and that’s how we went about writing it,” Sudeikis, dressed in a colorful tracksuit, told Paul Chi at the series’ season three premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday. “We wanted to close this chapter of it, and I’m so appreciative of this experience. I had such a good time making it.”
Elsewhere in HWD, Rebecca Ford chats with groundbreaking producer Janet Yang; Derek Lawrence details the ins and outs of Top Gun: Maverick’s rowdy bar scene; Glenn Kenny makes the case for Elvis Presley, movie star; and a host of big names are officially booked to perform from the Oscar stage.
