🍎 FOX 9’s Leah Beno will be presenting the second Top Teacher award to a Minnesota educator this morning. Top Teachers receive $1,000 from Royal Credit Union for classroom supplies, a pizza party for up to 30 people provided by Papa Murphy’s, and a Top Teacher award for their desk. 

🥇 Hundreds of Special Olympics athletes, coaches, and families are heading to Mall of America to witness the unveiling of the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games logo. 

Three black bears spotted with mom at Elm Creek Park Reserve

• Three young black bears, along with their mother, were spotted at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Minnesota.
• The bears were seen by a park ranger and visitors to the park, who were able to capture photos and videos of the bears.
• Officials from the park have issued a warning to visitors, advising them to stay away from the bears and to keep their distance if they do encounter them, as black bears can be dangerous if provoked.

“Don’t try to pet a bear. Don’t try to feed a bear,” said Three Rivers Park District Senior Manager of Wildlife John Moriarty.

While at the park, you should always keep your dog on a leash.

“If you want to make sure you don’t see a bear, walk with someone and talk very loudly,” said Moriarty.

At home, lock up your garbage, take down bird feeders, and keep your outdoor grill clean.
