Hi everyone, I hope you've all had a great week!
Do you use any Bluetooth devices, like wireless headphones or speakers? Are you curious about this technology and how it works?
Senior Planet in New York City will be hosting an in-person class called Understanding Bluetooth on Tuesday, March 14th at 11:45am EDT.
We’ll explain Bluetooth technology and the way it impacts everyday life. We’ll also give you some helpful tips for pairing devices and troubleshooting connectivity issues so you can benefit from all that Bluetooth has to offer!

Free Nutrition Counseling
|
 The Virtual Smart Living Initiative at the NYC Department for the Aging is offering FREE virtual individual nutrition counseling sessions with a Nutritionist.
From the convenience of their own homes or from the centers they attend, older New Yorkers can easily connect with a Nutritionist over video to learn how to make better food choices, based on their personal needs.
And to top it off, participants can receive a free nutrition educational item for attending their first session to encourage them to continue eating healthy. Free language interpreter services are available for clients who prefer to receive nutrition counseling in a language other than English.

 Have you been involved with Senior Planet for at least one year? Do you have any experience or training in hosting Zoom meetings? Would you be interested in a Senior Planet volunteer opportunity?
If you answered yes to all of these questions, then we want to hear from you! We're inviting you to apply for a position on our virtual volunteer team. Virtual volunteers assist Senior Planet trainers as cohosts on Zoom meetings for our online classes.

Senior Planet in NYC is hosting “Tech Tank” — a 30-minute session where we'll introduce a piece of technology to participating older adults at the Senior Planet center – 127 West 25th St.
Please join us this week to discover the Meta Quest 2 virtual reality headset. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment and receive instructional support on how to use this exciting device. Walk-ins welcome! |
