We completed our first quarter of 2023! Thank you to everyone who attended our lectures and completed courses. We hope you learned a lot and continue to register for additional course offerings and classes that will start in April!
The center will still be open and we will continue to host one-on-one tech appointments throughout the small break as well as host special presentations, including an additional Dementia Friendly 101 + Reducing Your Risk presentation on the 29th of March! Visit the center to register for classes, have some coffee, read a book, use our technology, and more!
- Reminder! In-Person, Multi-Week Course Registration Fair on Wednesday! 🗓
Join us Wednesday, March 22 from 11:00am – 3:00pm at the center for our upcoming course registration fair! Learn all about next quarter's program offerings, and sign up for your favorites. Online registration will open the following day.
- You Did It! First Quarter Graduation Celebration Will Be Held at the Center on Friday, March 24 from 1-3pm! 🎓
Join us for a social event at the center on Friday, March 24 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm with your classmates, friends, and family, where we will have light snacks and drinks to celebrate the end of our first quarter! See you there!
- Special Event: Dementia 101 + Reducing Your Risk 🧠
Join us at the center on Wednesday, March 29 at 11:15am for a presentation hosted by JJ Jordan of Dementia Friendly Denver. She will discuss a range of topics including warning signs of dementia, caregiver challenges, the latest research, and things to do at any age to reduce dementia risk.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our Registration Fair this Wednesday and First Quarter Celebration on Friday!

Farewell, Friends!
|
|
 This past week our Trainer, Terry, and our Volunteer Tech Assistant, Ed, had their last days at the center with us so that they can both set out on some exciting travels. Ed and Terry have been with us since summer of last year and have been incredible teammates and representatives for Senior Planet in Colorado.
Terry, our amazing trainer, will be taking a voyage where he will travel to many locations including a cruise to Tokyo, South Korea, Australia, and Alaska.
Ed, our ever-so-helpful one-on-one Wednesday Tech Assistant will also set out on an adventure. Ed will be moving to Kennebunk, Maine for 6 months and plans to get back into sailing.
We will miss you both, but hope you have safe and wonderful travels!

Join guest speaker JJ Jordan of Dementia Friendly Denver for a special presentation — Dementia 101 + Reducing Your Risk — including basic facts about Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. We will cover a wide range of dementia-related topics including the latest promising research updates, warning signs and symptoms, diagnosis guidelines, a caregiving overview, dementia-friendly tips for communication, interaction, and behaviors, and the things anyone can do at any age to reduce risk or delay onset of dementia. |

If you answered yes to all of these questions, then we want to hear from you! We're inviting you to apply for a position on our virtual volunteer team. Virtual volunteers assist Senior Planet trainers as cohosts on Zoom meetings for our online classes.
