Special Event at Mission Library: Job Searching in the Digital Age |
Stop by Mission Library this week to learn about a special job training event! In collaboration with AARP San Antonio, Senior Planet from AARP is hosting an in-person session of our popular “Job Searching in the Digital Age” class.
This lecture will provide an overview of how to use social media in your job search, demonstrate digital job-searching tools like LinkedIn, and offer tips and advice to job seekers. You’ll also learn about new opportunities for freelance work and how you can supplement your income in innovative ways.
This is an in-person event at Mission Library on Thursday, January 26, from 11:00am to 12:00pm CST. The library's capacity for this in-person event is 30 participants.

Senior Planet Evening Programs at City Senior Centers |
In case you missed it, our great City of San Antonio senior centers have extended their hours of operation to 8:00 pm CST! If you are looking to do some exercise or participate in a Senior Planet class, stop by your local San Antonio senior center for more information.
Extended hours will offer recreation and health/wellness activities. Centers are open to current members and older adults 60 years of age and older. |

Take a Virtual Tour of Banff National Park in Canada!
|
This quarter, Senior Planet and Discover Live will be taking you on even more virtual live tours through three magnificent destinations. This week, we'll be making our first stop:
Banff National Park, Canada
Join us on Friday, January 27 at 12:30pm CST to discover Canada's first and most famous National Park. On this one hour personal, live, interactive, virtual walking tour, we will explore wilder areas (where there is good reception) to show you the incredible wilderness. Banff encompasses 6,641 square kilometers (over 4,100 square miles) of mountainous terrain, with many glaciers and icefields, dense coniferous forest, and alpine landscapes. Banff has over 994 miles of beautiful walking trails — let's explore some of them!
