Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far!
Still writing personal checks? Paying high ATM fees to withdraw cash? Venmo is a popular peer-to-peer payment system that allows you to send and receive money.
Senior Planet in the North Country will be hosting an in-person class called Getting Started with Venmo on Monday, May 8 at 12:00pm EDT at our center in Plattsburgh.
During this hands-on workshop you’ll sign up for Venmo and learn how to link a credit card or bank account to your Venmo account so you can instantly send and receive electronic payments.
Prerequisites: To participate in this workshop, you must bring your own smartphone, along with your Apple ID and password (iPhone) or Gmail address and password (for Android phones).

Mall Walker Kickoff Celebration!
|

 Friday May 12 @ 10:00am at the center
Champlain Centre will be relaunching their Mall Walker program this month with a new name, “The Inside Track”. The launch will include brand new floor decals, map and webpage. To assist in the relaunch, Champlain Centre partnered with Clinton County Health Department and Senior Planet!
Join us at the center on Friday for a Mall Walker Kickoff Celebration. We'll discuss the new walking program and briefly review Senior Planet classes offered to the 60+ community. Light refreshments will be served, and we hope to see you there!

Tech Tank: Virtual Reality with the Meta Quest 2

The Tech Tank is Senior Planet’s latest program which puts YOU in the driver’s seat to road test and experience innovative technologies!
Join our 30-minute, trainer-guided demonstrations this week, and learn all about virtual reality, with the Meta Quest 2.
What Participants are saying…. “The program offers a much-needed space for older adults like me who are eager to get up to speed on new technology in today’s evolving digital landscape. I encourage all older adults to get out there and try it out!”
