🏛️ Lawmakers and advocates plan to hold press conference on recent abortion rulings and impact on Minnesota. On Friday, federal judges in the United States issued conflicting rulings on the availability of mifepristone, a medication used in medication abortions. In Minnesota, over half of the state’s abortion patients rely on mifepristone and misoprostol abortion procedures within the first 11 weeks of pregnancy.
🏀 The WNBA draft is scheduled to take place tonight at 6 p.m. Central in New York City. The Indiana Fever have the first draft pick while the Minnesota Lynx have the second pick.
🏫 Rochester Public Schools will be closed Monday due to a possible cyber attack. The school district detected “unusual activity on the district’s network,” Thursday, and responded by shutting down the network and “almost all core technology systems,” while staff began an investigation.
🏦 Dakota County is set to reopen the Burnsville License Center after a remodel to improve the customer experience. The renovated license center includes an additional workstation, more customer seating space and improved security measures.
🚧 The Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin construction on the Hwy 169 and County Road 9 interchange between Plymouth and New Hope. The County Road 9 bridge over Hwy 169 between Nathan/Lancaster Ln. and Gettysburg Ave will be closed through fall 2023. |
